Professor Sprout fires her first .357 Magnum

Just checking in THR's, I've been laying low for awhile and trying to get back in the know. wanted to let you know what I have been up to lately.

I just participated in the filming of a documentary about Charles Dickens travels through America where I gave the 63 year old British, "Harry Potter 2"actress, Miriam Margoyles her first introduction into our world. The BBC crew took a side trip after visiting www.blackmanwithagun.com and wanted to see the pistol packing preacher and teacher in action. They attended church with me last Sunday and then went with me to a nearby range.

I plan to start training again to get my skills up so let me know what is going on in the MD/DC/VA area.

I have some big projects coming in 05. I did quite a few radio interviews this year and hope to break in to more film projects in the future.

Has anyone seen Larry Elders film "Michael and Me" that premiered at the American Film Festival in Texas in September? I'm in it and I haven't seen it. It’s a pro-gun, anti-Michael Moore documentary that slams "Bowling". I said a lot that I am sure will make you proud and piss off some folks.

I made one big mistake with Professor Sprout (Miriam) though. She left still anti-gun though she loves me now and says she liked shooting. I think I should have used a .22 caliber for her first instead of the .357 cal (with .38 wadcutters). What do you think?

A heavy 357 with 38s is not recoil intensive, but a 22 is what I started most of my converts with. It's OK, sounds like she wouldn't mind going again...try, try, again! Well done!
Haven't seen the Anti-Moore movie, but knowing it's anti-Moore means i like it already! Will there be an online version?

.38 wadcutters in a .357 are hardly worse recoil than a .22. Plus they are more indicative of the kinds of guns we are holding up as being guaranteed, effective weapons, not just "plinkers", "target pistols" and the like.

She may still be "anti" but being left or right (or anti or pro) is almost habitual with most people. They seldom make Pauline changes. You gave her a good experience and I'm sure represented American gun owners well. What more can we ask for?

Attn MD and VA folk- For those of you who don't know Kenn he is a wonderful family-oriented Christian and an excellent instructor. He's probably forgotten more about firearms than I hope to ever know.

38Spl's SWC's from a 6" 357Mag has no recoil. Should have been fairly accurate as well.
