This may not belong here at all but I have to ask it. Bought my Baker from Veteran Arms a few months ago. They will work on your rifle/musket before shipping it out, to ensure they're rightly fitted, working, etc. and so it takes anywhere from 4-12 weeks before they ship. And it's fine, I'd rather it be that way, so when I receive it it'll be like clockwork and in fine condition.
The question I have is, are they a reputable seller? Has anyone else here purchased from them?
I'm fine with the wait, however I heard rumors recently of some gun retailers online who'll 'sell' stuff to people but they have no intention of actually shipping. My father got scammed that way recently. So I'm just being a little paranoid but I want to make sure that anyone else here has purchased from Veteran Arms and so can confirm they are legit business?

Thanks for the info. Good to know they're a good company. And with what I know about Indian muskets, I'd rather them take as much time as they can to make sure that thing is going to work well.
Maybe a Indian repro wasn't the smartest idea, but it was what I could afford at the time. Can't wait till it arrives.

One important thing to do is to go over the gun as best that you can before firing it.
Then if you're not happy you can send it back.
Be sure that the bore is smooth and uniform.
They have a fairly good warranty with 3 months parts replacement and a 10 day inspection period.
You"ll probably be very happy with it.
Where else can anyone buy an affordable Baker?
