Question about lands ending on PT92FS

I have a Taurus PT92FS that I'm breaking in and also cleaning after each session. I've noticed that the lands start maybe an 1/8th" or so just after the leading edge of the chamber. Is this normal?

That would make sense, to allow clearance for the bullet when the cartridge seats on the case mouth. Then the bullet will engage the rifling only after discharge.
