Question about the difference between 5.56 &.223 CASES

The main difference between case brands is wall thickness. I've handloaded the following fire formed cases:
+ 5.56mm Radway Green;
+ .223 Lapua; and
+ .223 Privi
Using the same load in each there was a noticeable change in average velocity and accuracy. This is due to differences in case wall thicknesses. Obviously the Lapua brass had a better spread in velocity because the brass was more uniform. Unfortunately I am having a hard time finding the data I recorded so take what I said with a pinch of salt.

As a general reloading rule if you change a component out of a load recipe you should always back off the powder and work back up.
