Hello Everyone,

Has anyone fired one of the FALs using the Para folding stock extensively? If yes, for how long (time or rounds)?

I'm considering buying one from DSA as a compact travel/automobile rifle and was wondering how they held up over time. I've read more than once that this is the best designed folding stock every made, but wanted the opinions of my THR breatheren.

Does the stock assembly stay nice and tight over time or does it loosen up to the point it starts wobbling like so many folding stocks?

Thanks for the help.

The original Belgian FAL folding stock has a tapered locking surface that is sort of self adjusting. As it wears it still remains tight.

Anthony,

I’ve put about 1300 rounds through SA58 since it’s conversion with a DSA Para lower. The stock remains tight, and due to the “self adjusting” lockup as blfuller mentioned, I’m pretty sure it will remain tight.

It’s also one of the more comfortable folders I’ve ever fired.

Chuck
