Question for the Forster fans please....

Another question please... Will a Redding BR seater in 223 rem, work on a 222 Rem? I was hoping I could use my 223, instead of buying another die.

The one for .222 should work for .223 as well. The .223 body is the same at the base, but tapers a tiny bit more than the .222. The sleeve won't fit as tight on the .223, but should work. If you are going to do that, the micrometer top would come in handy switching back and forth from each caliber and also when changing bullets within a caliber.

" Redding's and Forster's Ultra BR seater ... Does this version have the same, tight fitting, sliding sleeve as the Ultra and Redding,"

Redding copied the Forster (Bonanza at the time) seaters when the patent expired.

I think you'll find your .223 seater to be too long for the .222.

Sounded to me like he was going to get one for .222, and hoped it would work for .223. That should work.

The other way around may not for the length difference as well as the width difference at the shoulder.
