Question on Lee Classic Turret Press.

I saw this plate for attaching the Lee Classic Turret Press on surplusrifle.com.
When I emailed Lee to see if it is included with the press, I was told Lee doesn't make or sell them. Anyone know where to purchase these plates? Thank you.

You make it yourself from general stock...

Would you really need a plate? I've never used one - just bolted the press to my 3/4" thick top and it's worked just fine.

It would be handy if you have a compact bench and wanted to switch presses once in a while. I've thought about it for switching between my Lee Classic Turret and Rockchucker. To build one all you need is the plate, an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel if you need to change the size, a drill, and a tap. Pretty simple.

Bushmaster has it right, that's a home fab job and no, you don' t need one. It's a nice to have item if you want to remove the press from the bench for storage.

I have a 3/4" thick piece of PVC under my 550. It will not flex. Makes for a great movable mount. Get some allen head bolts with tapered heads and countersink them on the bottom.

Sounds like a good way to do it. Can you cut the PVC to any size with a radial saw?

I just use 2x12 and a "C" clamp. Seems to work pretty well.
