I have an older model Sears pellet rifle. It's a 22 caliber bolt action that uses two CO2 cartridges. I sent the rifle to a company in California who rebuilt it for me a couple of years ago.
The rifle belonged to my grandfather who bought it to protect his fruit trees from the blackbirds. As a youngster, I was paid a penny a piece for every carcass I could produce. Man was I rolling in the dough at the end of the day.
My problem is this, the rifle was made by Crossman I think. At the time, the pellets made by Crossman had a flat or indented tip on them. Now however, the Crossmans have a rounded tip and they are causing a feeding problem. The rifle is fed by a spring loaded tube. As you cycle the bolt, a pellet is forced into place by the spring. The round tips on the following round of the new pellets are getting in the way of the bolt and won't allow it to close.
Does anyone know of a brand that still uses the flat style pellet. I just hate to go buy several boxes of different ammo only to find they won't work.
Thanks for the info.
