Quick .308 AR Questions

Are the upper receivers interchangeable between brands?
I have a DPMS with a 24" I would like to put an Armalite 16"on it.
Are the LPKs standardized like on AR 15s?

Where is the wonderful link for parts interchangeability of AR 10 and AR 15

No, the AR10 platform is not mil spec, so most companies that offer them use proprietary parts. Why do you think the BAR10 uses FAL mags while the DPMS uses their own mags? I have heard of a guy that used an Armalite barrel on a DPMS upper, but for the most part they are not interchangable.

I've done that, and it works well. However, most of the other parts are not interchangable in either the uppers or lowers. About the only thing that can be interchanged with any confidence is the furniture.
