Hey just saw a discussion about another 9mm load on the board.

If possible would someone volunteer to run this load on Quick Load for me:

9mm
115 Missouri Bullet Parabellum (LRN)
4.6 WST
Rem. SPP
1.125 OAL

Just loaded a test batch tonight for this weekend, and would like to have someone check if possible.

Thanks-Have a great weekend!

QuickLoad 3.2, which I have, does not have propellant data for WST :(.

Can't help you specifically w/ the Missouri Bullet, but here's what I know about WST with the Precision Black Bullet (125gr). Since heavier bullet load data can be extrapolated down to lighter bullets, I'd expect the Missouri Bullet in 125 to be similar to this--and thus, some useful information for working up the load in 115gr would result.

[I use Missouri Bullets in my .45, and they are similar in result to the Precision bullets, which are coated LRN):

Using WST w/ a 125gr FP bullet, here are the loads I worked up and their chrono'd velocities, shot from an XD-9 with a 4" barrel:

Gr. Avgfps
4.4 1035
4.6 1068
4.8 1087
5.0 1110

I would have no qualms about shooting a 115gr Missouri Bullet w/ 4.6 grains of WST at 1.125 OAL, but as always, YMMV and I would, just as I always do, work up loads to that level.

Helg-Thanks I was afraid there wouldn't be anything for WST.

Mongoose-Thanks for the info. I used some of your data from a previous post, as well as other info.

I'm off to try them out.

We'll I'm back.

Shot 60 from a P89 and experienced cratered primers on every round. It appears that I have a lot of leading, I'll take a closer look tonight with a light.

They seem to hit the pins really hard, I like the way they hit. Accuracy seemed great, not a lot of recoil but I don't think you get a lot from a P89 regardless of what you have in it.

I think I'm going to drop to 4.4 WST and see what happens. I'm going to try some mid-range loads with HP-38 just to get a leading comparison.
