Sorry for the dumb question; do I need anything special to install a PRI Gen III Free Float Tube? If so, I want to order it with the tube. I have standard AR armorers tools; will that do?

Thanks Much!

Guys, Thanks for the help!

The rail came in Saturday, but with everything going on w/ Christmas, I didn't get a chance to install till yesterday. I'm now the proud owner of two strap wrenches! I think that may turn out to be the best $15 I ever spent! Everything went together nicely. I used a J&T armorers wrench to install the barrel nut. I was worried about it holding up because it only has two prongs to fit the nut, but it did great. Used the strap wrench to tighten the collar to the rail; it didn't mar the finish one bit. All I could think of to align the rail to the receiver was a strait edge. I think I got it really close; just wish I had something to tell me it is 100%. The front sight/block looks plumb; I guess I could shoot it w/ irons to be sure, but I don’t think I’ll ever need the irons.

Thanks!

You may know how to work a set of teats better than I do.:)

I torqued the barrel nut to min spec, then a little more to align for the gas tube. When I installed the PRI float tube, the top rail was slightly out of alignment with the upper receiver. I had to take it on and off a few times to get the barrel nut in the correct position, with the proper torque, so the top rail on the float tube would align w/ the upper. There was a small amount of play between the teats on the float tube and the barrel nut, so that helped some.
