I just ordered a Ultradot Matchdot II for my Ruger Mk III 22/45.

The red dot will come with Weaver-style rings.

The pistol came with a scope rail, I believed it to be Weaver-style, but I'm not so sure about that anymore, as I found several conflicting testimonies online.
Some say you would have to file the v-notches pretty deep to allow the ring mounting screws to clear it.
Others say they had to order a Ruger Picatinny scope rail.
And of course, some didn't have any problem.

Have some of you tried this combination and how did it work for you ?

I have the same pistol and have had three different red dots with weaver rings on it's factory rail although not the brand you ordered. All fit just fine with no problems at all.

I ordered the Ruger rail for my MKIV which does not come with one. It's identical to the one on my MK III 22/45.

Just so the answer is here: I received the Matchdot and mounted it on my pistol in mere minutes, without any kind of trouble.
