What is the cheapest quality 9mm practice ammo thats in the market? I'm gonna shoot about 300 rds at the range, was wondrin what brands and grains are good for practice ammo and relatively inexpensive

For a quick purchase, you'll find it hard to beat the Winchester white-box 115gr. FMJ stocked by Wal-Mart, particularly in the "Value Packs" of 100 rounds.

If you have time to order in bulk over the Internet, there are some real bargains out there. My personal "cheapie" favorite is CCI Blazer. Natchez Shooters Supply (see here) offers it at $4.92 a box (plus shipping), which is a heck of a value. There are other deals almost as good out there.

Another vote for Winchester white box 9mm. Stuff works great out of my handguns and shorty 9mm AR.

I think I've gotten one bum round that looks like it was squashed somehow in the packing process. Other than that no problems in at least 1K.

I have been using the WWB for almost 18 months & really like it...inexpensive yet consistent quality & performance.

I'm with Preacherman on this one. Lots of folks complain about Blazer, but its' never let me down in a semi-auto. I've shot lots of the 9mm in both my CZ-75 and my Marlin Camp-9 carbine.

Actually, the CCI Blazer 115gr is on special at Natchez for $4.59 a box *if* you order it by the case (20 boxes, 1000 rds). The sale ends November 30.

I also love Blazer ammo. It's great quality ammo and very inexpensive.

WWB - from wal-mart - $10.96 per 100 rounds
Olympic from Ammoman.com - $119.00 per 1000 rounds DELIVERED, NO TAX

The WWB is slightly hotter than the Olympic, and they are both GREAT range ammo.

I have had trouble with Olympic ammo. Seems to have a problem with hard primers. I bought 4 boxes and had about 30% fail to fire. My friends and I were shooting a Ruger, a Beretta, and a BHP. However, this is a very small sample and may not be representative of Olympic ammo . As soon as my gunshop has another deal on Olympic, I'm going to try another box or two. WWB is very cheap and consistently works fine.

- <$6 per 50, S&B 115gr FMJ - generally from Natchezss.com - Small boxes mean I can fit more in my Ammo' Can :D
- <$11 per 100, WWB 115gr FMJ - Wally World, although my Ruger doesn't seem to care for it.
- <$6 per 50, Fiocchi 123gr FMJTC - Cheaperthandirt.com - Gave it a try based on seeing that Mr. Camp has used it for some of his range reports...so far so good.
- <$6 per 50, Geco Dynamit Nobel 124gr FMJ - Natchezss.com - I think I saw a recommendation for it over at the CZ-FORUM

Good luck!
