I was able to get to the range for a little bit today to shoot my Armi Sport 2-band Enfield.

To start off I used a 1/2" catalog as a target at 50 yards (see 1st picture). It did a lot of damage on the back end (see 2nd pic).

Then I fired off some shots at 100 yards. I had a couple of sailors, mainly because of me, not the gun.

All shots were seated using 50 grains of Goex 2F, .577 Parker Hale minie greased with SPG lube. The lube is awesome -- over 25 shots and never had to clean the barrel...

All in all a good day.

Big bullets like that always impress me and renew respect for the soldiers of the Civil War who marched into the line of fire of those rifles.
Wish the weather here would cooperate so I could get out in comfort to shoot.
