Hello Everyone,

I have torn up the little pan that came with my RCBS 10-10 scale. I didn't notice if fell to the floor in the garage ... the car finished the job. I can't get the scale to zero now and can't measure reliably without it.

Can someone point me to a place that sells parts for the 10-10?
or
If someone has that little pan and doesn't need it I would pay you for it.

Thanks,
Joevilla71

Any pan will work, but you'll have to rezero the balance to allow for the change in weight. If you remove that little screw in the top of the balance tray and remove the cover you'll find that it's filled with lead shot, You'll have to add or remove an according amount of shot to offset the diffrence in weight of the new pan.

contact RCBS and ask them if one is available. They have a no nonsense warranty and if you use this page and give them your tale of woe you might have a free replacement in the mail.

Make your own...sheet metal and an old clothes hanger...then, rebalance your scale.

I thought the 10-10 scale was an ohaus. I know the 505 is. I had lost the pan and arm for my 505, I called ohaus customer service (in NJ I think) and they sent me a pan, arm and lead shot to zero it with. The price was negligable.

I appreciate all the help guys. I'll call Ohaus and RCBS tomorrow and see if they will replace them a good price. IF not then I'll order from MidwayUSA.

Thanks,
Joevilla71
