"Can I really save money by reloading .25-06 vs buying it for $23.99 a box for the cheapest 100 or 120 grain ammo? Thanks again!"

Yes. But, IF you plan to reload to "save money" for one hunting rifle, forget it. Loading components aren't cheap and you need some costly tools to do it. Reload for the accuracy potential and/or the satisfaction or forget it because it's unlikely you will shoot a 25-06 enought to justify the equipment cost, never mind the costs to fix up a place to do it. A good reloading bench can cost as much as the gear, even if you build it yourself!

Don't look to eBay to get any real savings. People today often bid as much as new retail (sometimes more!) for used stuff and then pay high shipping costs too; so bad it gets funny! I believe it's better to get new tools from an honest dealer, especially so for a noob.

All cast iron presses are "built like tanks", no matter the color. ??

If you think long term, and like to shoot a lot, you certainly will. I've been loading for my rifles since the 60s, and I guarantee that I have saved money.

Positive it is a Classic Cast. Had a Challenger. Gave it to a buddy to get started loading. Still hasn't used I don't think.

Look you wont save money, we have all told ourselves that if we buy the equipment that we will be saving money BS!!!!! what happens is use spend the same amount of money as you did buying factory ammunition,,,,,,, you just get more bullets or the same amount of cash, reloading dosnt save you money it just means you get more bang for your buck ;)

Okay, just wanted to be sure. Lot's of posters have said, in effect, they had a "Classic Cast" twenty years ago and didn't like the alum alloy body! ??? :)
