So, I ordered an RCBS ChargeMaster Combo for $290.00, then I got a couple of more RCBS do-hickeys and got the price above $300.00 so that I can also get the $50.00 mail in rebate.

Natchez responded to an email question very politely and the items I ordered have shipped. It took a little less than a week for them to fill the order, and it is on the Fedex truck as I type. So, don't panic if you don't get a shipping email in two or three days, patience is golden, their price on the Chargemaster is amazing. I double checked the RCBS product number to make sure it is the Chargemaster Combo because it seemed to good to be true. It will be here Wednesday.

I was also at a couple of local stores and found H335 and Ramshot TAC in stock. I got two pounds of TAC. The TAC was $27.00 per pound. Not a terrible price, online it is cheaper but then there is the hazmat fee, so I thought it wasn't too bad, and it is in my greedy little paws.

Things are looking up.

Back when things were available pronto life was much easier. These days there are some logistics issues when stocking/restocking my personal stash. As you said patients rules the day.:) I have been lucky (if you can call it that) that things have been problematic in the recent past and I learned from this and was able to stock up ahead somewhat. I am glad you found what you have needed this time with relative ease. I hope you are able to stock up as needed when things are in better shape for the future "speed bumps". FWIW I try to keep at a minimum three years anticipated consumable supplies on the shelf at all times. Lower than that and I slow my usage as required. Every reloader that does so actively will help to keep suppliers encouraged to provide their service to us.

I've got one and love it. Though the first thing you should do is go visit a Mcdonalds and get a straw. Cut off a 1-1/4" section and insert all but the last 1/8" - 1/4" into the drop tube. If you do any stick powders this will cut back on 90% of the overthrows you will get.

The only other issues I have seen has been when I have a charge sitting on the scale and get distracted to where it sits for a couple of hours before I get back. On occasion it will be showing a weight that's different from when I left it by up to .5 grains, usually lighter so I know it wasn't bumped and had more fall. I can take it off the scale and the zero is now off as well. I've always just re-zeroed and gone on with no more issues.

Thats interesting....I've left a charge in the pan of my CM for like 15mins and didn't notice any drift. But then it wasn't an hour or two.
I may try that scenario just to see what happens. But I doubt that would be a usual thing to do for either one of us.
( Things happen ? ) ie. leaving tumbler on for days, powder left in measure too long and darkens tube etc....
=================================================

So far I like my CH very much. I've had it about 6 years and no problems that weren't my fault.
I have not used the McStraw trick or the Re-programming....Have not found that in my case I need them...Yet??? :D
Of any of them....I may try the straw? There has been a few times it may have helped.???

I even use the CM when loading pistol brass on a turret press...with auto turned on, the next charge is waiting for me when I need it.

Also use it for shot shells when making slug or buck loads by hand.
It's just a nice powder dispenser with a scale attached...so why not? :uhoh:

All-In-All it's a heck of a machine. ;)

TexasDon,

It will only drift maybe 10% of the time it's left for extended periods. Varget is the powder that made me get the straw, I would have an overthrow about 30% of the time. Never by a lot, usually just .1 - .2, but over is over and I would have to take out the extra. Now I will only get an overthrow once or twice per 100 and again only with Varget. Most people wont care if it throws an extra .1 grains but I can't let it go knowing it's off, it'll play with my head. I guess that makes me a headcase.

This is the first time I have ordered from Natchez Shooters Supply. I placed the order on March 5th and they said it would be here March 17th, and it is here.

I thought it was a good deal at $290.00, so I am just spreading the word about the deal and that I have no complaints with Natchez and will order from them again.

Thanks for the link, I just ordered one. Now I just need to get another RCBS item so I can get the $50 rebate. Should be easy, there is a gun show coming up. :)
