I have a 9x23 that tossed cases into low Earth orbit until I discovered that the factory extractor had exactly zero tension. Once I tuned the extractor the ejection became much more civilized. You can also fit a square bottom firing pin stop. This will slow the slide more effectively than a stronger recoil spring. You can also replace your mainspring (hammer spring) with a stronger one. This will also be more effective than swapping recoil springs. Check out the Wolff site.
