I was thinking the other day people do different things to unwind. Lately I have heard the term "Retail Therapy" for those who like to shop. I started thinking about how when I need to unwind or destress I go shooting. I like particulary to shoot battle rifles and shotguns when I do this. I asked my freind the other day if he wanted to go shooting because I need some recoil therapy, and soda (pop) came out his nose.

pardon the randomness of this thread.

I'm just performing some "reliability tests", Mr. Range Officer! Don't mind me while I pop off the contents of all my .22 magazines as fast as I can - this is *science*, after all! :)

Good: CCI Maxi Mags, Federal "Champion", Remington Golden Bullet
Bad: Winchester bulk box (duh - why do I even bother)

Works for me! Any time you are concentrating on keeping the sights aligned and on target, you ARE NOT concentrating on your problems!

Last year my wife was interviewing for a job.

She is an engineer and works in a predominantly male environment. One of the interviewer’s questions was this: “This is a stressful job. What do you do to relieve stress?”

Her answer was something to the effect of, “To relieve a little stress, I take my dog for a walk. To relieve a lot of stress, I take my guns to the range and shoot a few hundred rounds. I find shooting to be something like Zen meditation.”

Apparently that was a good answer, she was hired.
