Well, my vote would go to the S&W 642 or a used SA XD9 SC. They would both be affordable to shoot, easy to maintain (read real easy), and great for CCW.
I went the "Cruffler" route or CRF or Curio, Relic Firearm route. For me it was the CZ-52, I might get a CZ-82. While both might need a little bit of work, they will be nice little inexpensive pistols to own. The only weird thing about them would be their ammo. Anyways good luck

My first gun was a CZ75B 40cal. It was an excellent gun, but once I tried a 1911, I can't go back. I'm in love with Kimber 1911's! I did, however, just buy a revolver that is fun to shoot too.
