So I just got a 3x Magnifier to put behind my red dot on 300 BLK SBR and I'm wondering how far behind the RDS it is acceptable to mount the magnifier? Most pictures I see have it pretty close to the RDS, but if I mount it about 4 inches behind the RDS, will this effect accuracy or anything? I don't see any part of the outside of the RDS where it is currently mounted, this is just where the eye relief is the best at, and I don't want to move the RDS back and sight it back in again but I will if it's going to cause a problem being that far out in front of the magnifier.

Thoughts?

It won't cause a problem unless it's so far forward that you can see the body of the dot itself. Lower-powered magnifiers have more of a problem than higher-powered ones. I'd have personally gone with a 6x magnifier, but that's me.
