While shopping for .30 cal suppressors I stumbled upon the Finnish-make BR Reflex Suppressor (mfg/license by BR-Tuote Oy & Jussi Sivonen, Joensuu, Finland http://www.brtuote.fi/). I was kinda fascinated by the "reflex" concept. For those (like me, yesterday) new to the type, most of the suppressor volume lies behind the muzzle, that is, the suppressor slips over the muzzle part way down the barrel. Here's one on an M1A1 Garand:

It only increases the OAL of the rifle by a couple inches or so. On the inside, this type looks pretty simple, rugged and "clean":

You can get models with fewer baffles, such as the T4 Ranger, which has 4 baffles. There is some gun smithing involved to adapt the muzzle and fit a bushing. You can poke around on the English-language version of their web site to find this graphic and more detailed notes on installation, plus on many other rifles. Here are a few pages:

All that said, what I am looking for in a suppressor is ruggedness, ability to take rapid fire of semiauto (one or two 20-round magazine dumps shouldn't cause heartburn), decent sound suppression, some recoil lessening, very good muzzle-flash reduction and very good side-blast/down-blast prevention (not to kick up dust from prone firing).

My questions are:
1) Anybody make/import/sell BR Reflex Suppressor products in the USA? (BR-Tuote Oy was at one time looking for licensees to manufacture their design in other countries, I guess the USA too: http://guns.connect.fi/innoplaza/rs/index.html
2) Are there any American-made reflex suppressor makes/models out there?
3) Anyone have experience with a reflex suppressor? Any big differences or things to watch out for? (I guess you gotta be willing to give up that factory front iron sight, eh? Actually, that's NOT TRUE for the M16/AR15. See pics on this page.))

Due diligence:
We at THR do have a little searchable info on reflex suppressors:

Post #9: hq from Finland mentions reflex suppressors

I have an Ops Inc. 16th Model which uses this concept. It basically saves you anywhere from 0.5"-1" in length. Not earth-shattering by any means.

i've got (or had) a couple Knight's armament cans that screwed onto the SR25 gas block. they're nice, but tend to have issues when you heat them up, which is easy to do with a semi
