Reloading .308. Stuck case in Lee. Bought Lyman Deluxe Carbide.

I recently had a Fed 30-06 case stuck in my Hornady die for same reason. I cleaned my die and probably didn't get all the cleaner out or missed that case when I lubed them. Actually stuck so hard the rim of the case pulled thru the shell holder when I tried to remove it . I put it in deep freeze overnight, re-imstslled in press,, loosened decappimg pin, applied some heat to the case with a butane lighter and tapped on the decapping rod with a mallet, case came right out.

Another hint is if the rod slides up too easily rough it up with coarse sand paper. That allows better grip.

Just got it re-assembled. Nice! I hope I dont have to do this again. But now I know what and how to do it if I ever get a case stuck. From here on out I am going to lube every case I get. Thanks fellas!!

I use redding and just buff it off the out side while the other case is sizing. Good for long term storage. I dont use an expander ball so no lube in the case and no second cleaning.
