Hi

I am new here so please bear with me.

I have a Rem700-LH Mountain Rifle in 7mm Rem Mag which I am about to re-barrel.

My problem is I do not have a bushing for my barrel vise with the correct taper.

All my barrel bushings are paralel

Does anyone know of a commercialy available bushing or indeed where I can get a drawing of the barrel profile

Find a plumber and get some scrap lead sheeting, then use that to bush the closest parallel vice bushing.

Or, make an Oak block that fit your barrel vice and drill it to match the largest barrel diameter.
Then glass bed it to the (release agent coated) barrel with Brownells Acroglas, or Steel-Bed.

After it cures, drive the block forward off the barrel and saw it in half to make a set of bushings that exactly match your barrel.

As for a drawing? Just take some dial calipers and measure the barrel.
