any one know what will cause the extractor to hang up and not move? this is causing the shells to not cycle because it is not leting the shells to move all the way into the chamber. i seems to have gotten wors after I cleaned the gun with break free and spayed a light coat of CLP. how do you remove the extractor? I bought the gun used I worked ok some shots didnt cycle. also the bolt doesnt close compleatly with out a shell in the chamber, Is this normal? the extractor angle is too great and does not fall in the position with the notch in the berrell

Removing the extractor is easy, but a bit tricky. Look at the rear of the extractor and you will see a small plunger. That has a spring behind it. The plunger both powers the extractor and keeps it in place. With a small screwdriver, push the plunger back into the bolt. When it is back in far enough, the extractor should drop out, or can be taken out by grasping it with pliers. The plunger and spring should come out; if the spring doesn't come out, make a small hook on a paper clip and pull it out.

Your problem is most likely due to grease, oil and dirt behind the extractor. Once you have it out, clean out the spring hole (Q-Tip) and that whole area; use a good solvent (not WD-40) or degunker. Assuming the spring is OK (and it probably is), you just put the spring and plunger back in, push them down with the extractor itself, and snap the extractor into place.

One idea is to do the work under a cloth on the bench, or in a bag. That way, you won't lose the parts if they jump while you are taking them out or putting them back in.
