Hello,
I have been using my 1100 for 3GUN matches. I'm having a problem on reloading shells into the magazine tube fast enough. When I use my 3 fingers to push the shell up into the carrier the shell won't touch the carrier release. I end up using my other hand on the carrier release and load the shell with the other. Just curious if anyone else had this problem or can offer any advise. Does IPSC rules alow me to modify the release in some way to make it easier?

From what I have seen the easy loading chutes like Jim describes are very prevelant for just that reason.

i put one of those easyloaders on my 1100 as part of my "tactical" rebuild, and it is absolutely wonderful. you don't have to worry about pushing that tiny frickin" button anymore. i would advise you having a gunsmith do it unless you have some time on your hands or you know what you're doing. it took me about 3 hours to install the darn thing.

cookhj,
I was just thinking about that. Unfortunately there is no gunsmith near by. This is my first auto. I have had it totaly stripped down for cleaning, but the trigger group was left alone. Did you need any special tools?

no, you don't need any special tools, just lots of patience. there are two springs that will give you hell, but if you take your time and don't get too frustrated, you should be able to do it by yourself. if i had a digital camera, i would take pictures of it and describe what to do, but the instructions that come with the part are half-way understandable. if you get in a bind, e-mail me or one of the other guys that have one on their 1100, and they or i should be able to explain it.
