I am going to be playing instructor/RO and teaching kids to shoot in a few weeks with some noise-sensitive parents in tow. The shooting area is on private land and the area is safe to shoot, but I have been asked to keep the noise to a minimum for other campers that will be in our party.

I will be using my Marlin 795 for the kids' shooting, but I don't usually shoot subsonic rounds in it. I read that Remington's 38 gr. subsonic rounds consistently cycle a 10/22, but I don't have any data with the Marlin 795. Any help from those who have used this combination would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Worked fine in mine, but it was still pretty noisy, although I did notice it being quieter than CCI mini mags (40 gr copper plated)

chances also are, you may get a lot of misfires with it, and may get a squib fire.
Be careful... one thing you will get for sure? a super dirty, stinky rifle.
See if yo can find some aguila subsonic, or some aguila subsonic, sniper SSS rounds, 60 grainers. cci also makes a subsonic, that is not green tag.
