I personally liked the 710; but for painting reasons, the stocks are just begging for a paint job, and they have a nice , tacky bumpy surface.
Now then, the prob you will have is the bolt, it is a multi piece, and may have a hard nylon part, or two , on it. also the bolt rails may be nylon. remmy was trying to make cheaper parts, but they forgot some basic rules of Physics; slide two parts togethter, make them as slick as you wanna. But two parts, made of differing material, sliding together , resting together, whatever toghether, and eventually they will get sticky, tacky, magnetick-y, frictiony, together, no matter what you do. So then, what do we do with yours? Nothing, it is a good rifle, will shoot well, small groups. just don't think of it as a fast repeater shooting rifle, and don't shoot tons of rounds through it like a bench shooter. If this is your hunting rifle, and you don't want to rack it real hard or fast, on follow up shots, then you will be just fine. And really, don't you just wanna paint the crap outta that stock, and and add some weird ghillie stuff to it, and maybe some burlap strappings?
