Well despite all the hype I've read on the reliability and accuracy issues with this rifle as well as with Remington QC in general, I got one. I've wanted a 7400 carbine in 30-06 for a very long time now and the combination of liquid capital and the thing showing up a the gun shop made me get one. Maybe I'm just lucky or blessed or just should have abought a lottery ticket instead but the thing is utterly reliable and accurate to boot. I tried various factory loads from Fed. 150gr psp to Rem. 180gr rnsp. Winchester 165gr PSP shoots just a wisker over MOA C-C and the worst groups ran about 1.75" C-C at 100 yards. No kidding. I have nothing to gain by lying to you guys. Just thought I'd share my good fortune. Not that I need this accuracy the farthest shot I took at a deer was 30 yards where I hunt in southern Ontario.

Gun Tests had the same experience when they tested the thing. They raved about it.

They rated it higher than the BAR and the Benelli, and it's cheaper than either. They said it can easily replace a factory bolt gun, because it is at least as accurate as most.

How's the recoil?

I was going to mention Gun Tests, but ArmedBear beat me to it. Those guys usually hate everything, but they absolutely loved the 750. IIRC, they got sub-MOA with 3 different ammos. You can't beat that in a semi.
