REMINGTON NEWEST MUZZLELOADER

I don't really care for the design. It looks sort of "chinsy".
I would prefer, the 700 muzzle loader over that, but I think I will stick with my Traditions side locks, thank you.

Bah. Inline, and rather ugly at that, in my opinion.

I suppose for the man who lives in an area where he just doesn't get much chance to hunt during regular rifle season, and there's a dedicated muzzleloader season, this could be the thing. Certainly it takes more stalking skills and/or patience to make a good kill with one than with a centerfire rifle. I won't say anything untoward about anyone who wants one.

I wouldn't even bother to unwrap if it were a gift-- I'd sell it and get the thing I want--a traditional style muzzleloader like the Lyman Great Plains or the like (been threatening to get one for years), There's nothing traditional about these Remingtons, or the Knights, but they ain't my cuppa tea.

I like it. Some of the Type 2 hunting areas in Texas I've noticed have muzzle loader only on the hog hunting and I'd really like to use a rifle or a pistol. This is a little more modern, but I do have a nice Cabela's Hawkin Hunter Carbine that's never been fired at other than paper. It's pretty danged accurate at 100 yards with either a 385 grain Hornady conical or a saboted 240 grain .44 bullet. I need to start playin' with that thing again, get ready to do some hunting with it.:D
