I have a permanently affixed muzzle brake on my AK. It has what looks like two pins on the bottom of the muzzle brake, where I would expect the threads to be. I assume this was because this is a pre-no-ban-AK.

How exactly do I remove the brake? I want to replace it with a suppressor.

Also, how involved is it to remove AK front sights? I want to convert my gun over to using Galil style sights that mount on the gas tube(ACE sells them for like 65 bucks) and have the entire gun forward of the gas tube completely bare like on a Valmet/Galil.
