Seems like the GLOCK cleaning rod and nylon brushes have a 8 x 36 threading on them.

Can you even buy bronze bore brushes with this threading? All I've found in that threading are .223 M-16 brushes and GLOCK OEM nylon brushes.

I've already changed one of my GLOCK rods to 8x32, but I'm wondering if the other one is good for anything other than cleaning the first fifth of an M-16 barrel. :)

i use my plastic glock cleaning rods on all my pistols. they're great, don't have to worry about a scratched bore.

haven't found a brush that doesn't fit them, but i only use nylon brushes.

I have a brass cleaning rod, already. I just like the GLOCK rod for travel. Yeah, it's way too bendy. But that means you can just drop one in a bag without a case, with no worries about damaging the rod, the bag, nor anything else.

So I found you can re-thread one by screwing on an 8x32 accessory halfway, hitting it with a torch for a few seconds, then screwing the rest of the way.
