Hi All,
Many of the Repro 1858's offer the option of adjustable sights.

Having been a long time Blackhawk shooter, I appreciate that. But the usual dilemma, LOL! I prefer the look of the fixed sights.

How often are the fixed sights "off"? My CVA 1861 Navy was dead on at short range and 20 grains Pyrodex fffg. But I figured I got lucky.

What have your experiences been?

My intellect says... get the adjustable. My nostalgia says... go fixed...

Buy Both !

Buy both , problem solved , your welcome . :)
I owne many of each , and all of them are off till you find the load it likes anyway or you adjsut the sights on the adjsutable one . The adjustable sighted onse are of course much easier to adjust to a load , rather than adjust a load to it . :)
Buy BOTH !
Get the one you want most first , your tradtional yerning is obvious already , then get the Adjsutable if you see fit . I have never had one shoot dead on right out of the box with just shoving powder of any grain in it out of happenstance ? I have soem that were close when I started out testing laods , but never just right on the money without a little Kentucky windage or load Modification to see where it wanted to shoot first .

Das Jaeger :)

Buy two, LOL! Of course, the perfect solution... why didn't I think of that! ;)
