Resizing lead bullets

I have a LEE mould that casts .329 205gr bullets. I need a 205gr .320 bullet. No problem getting a .320 sizing die and if necessay I can resize in two steps, .329 to .323 to .320.

Question is what will this do to the bullet in terms of shootabliltiy? Are there undesirable side effects of resizing I need to look out for?

I think if using Lee sizing dies they will center the bullet better than with Lyman/RCBS sizers. The bullet will of course bee slightly longer and the only other effect on the bullet will be shallower grooves for the lube.

When sizing that far down, it's best to first lube the bullet to fill the lube grooves. The lube, being usually a grease, will not compress, which maintains the shape and depth of the lube grooves. .009 is not a lot of reduction, with the lube grooves filled, you should be able to do it in one pass from .329 to .320.

The only thing I can add is if the boolit is of hard alloy it`ll have spring back , the harder the boolit the more it`ll have .
This is why it`s best to slug a bore with pure lead.
