For you Comp-Tac C-Tac Slide owners out there...Have you had any issues with your handgun being pushed out accidently due to the muzzle sticking out the bottom of the holster?

You'll prolly get some "Yesses" on this one - -

Digex2, because that's the nature of the beast. I don't know of ANY slide type holster that's not susceptible to "push out." It is a good holster for comfort and concealment, and they are usually lower priced, compared to the same maker's full length holster.

The effect can be minimized, though. One must pay close attention to the design of that particular slide holster, and wear it on a sturdy belt of the proper width. Said belt must be kept cinched up enough to make the holster ride close to the body, and not swing around out in the breeze. :p

Body type has something to do with the effect, as well. Very slender people seem to have more difficulty with push out than uh, fuller figured pistol packers. Those who can conceal properly with the sidearm worn somewhat to the rear don't have as much problem.

If one is of thin build, wears a nylon or thin leather holster on a flimsy belt right at the 3 o'clock position, one is pretty sure to need a different style of carry. I'm a fairly large person and wear fairly wide, thick leather belts, so I carry a slide holster five or six days a week with little trouble.

One additional point: If you carry a snub barrel revolver in a belt slide, you should strougly consider one with a thumb break or safety strap.

Best regards,
Johnny
