Retirement: Yet another reason to get a new handgun

I’m still hanging in there like a loose tooth & if they piss me off I’m going home. Been doing this for over 40 years & as much as I enjoy it we’re working in a different world these days that’s taking a lot of fun out of it so I’m kind of day by day.
That said I’ve been feathering my nest with quality firearms to enjoy now & later. Got me a nice Ed Brown Executive Carry to keep me company & plenty of other hobbies to keep me occupied-going to get there soon, one day at a time.

Hope you make it to retirement smoothly, Sir. I understand those Ed Brown's are very high quality.

I was retired for almost two minutes before the chief of cardiology answered the code blue and unretired me. :)

Springfield should not make new HPs, an old gun, to tempt old retired toots to buy one. Now, what does my wife want, that I can trade for?
Spa day and diamond stud earrings typically gets me some atta-boy points. ;)

My only gripe is, once again, Dieudonne Saive was short shrifted. He should get credit for the completed design.

Still a couple years away from the big retirement day. I have thought about this before seeing this thread, conclusion has been a nice semi-custom 1911 from Wilson or Nighthawk. It's kind of sad I've lived within 40 miles of both shops most of my life but never owned one of their guns.:(

Jabram, Might be worth checking to see if they do tours.

With gun prices up I took a look at a crossbow that was on sale at Cabela's. Bought it. Can deer hunt with them if over 60yo. No deer yet but having fun at an archery range close to home. I'll tell you what though it's hard to pull those crossbow bolts out of those foam targets.
