Does anyone here know whether parts for the old model 340 savage will fit this rifle. I believe that the revelation model 225 is made by savage for western auto, but before i get one id like to know if there are available parts for it.

Something to consider is the fact that there were several design changes made to the 340 over the course of its production, most significantly to the extractor and ejector on the .222's. I have a 1953 340B in .222 Remington,
and it's a great rifle. They are real sleepers. If you find any 340 though, check the extraction and ejection if possible.
Hope this is of some use

That's almost exactly what I was wondering, I was told that Savage actually made the rifle, and that it was basically a model 340, I just wasn't sure if the "basically" extended to using the same parts

Yeah, all the store-branded guns are basically 340's with variations in wood quality, sights, and the like. All of 'em are good rifles. Looking for an affordable .30-30 now.
