Can anyone give me any info on this one. I picked it up at the local gun show Sunday. It is parkerized ?sp and has shorter lenght mag than full size 1911, although the std mag will function just hangs out the bottom.
Where might correct lenght magazines be found?
Where is the factory?
Any help is appreciated

RIA, Rock Island Armory guns are made by Armscor in the Philippines. RIA has a very good reputation for inexpensive 1911's.

While I don't know that model specifically, short gripped 1911's are called Officer or Compact size. The proper capacity for Officer size mags is 6 rounds, though most makers produce a 7 round Officer size mag.

Here are Wilson Combat offering's http://shopwilsoncombat.com/45-ACP/departments/373/

CheckMate mags from Top Gun Supply http://www.topgunsupply.com/checkmate-1911-compact-officers-model-magazines/
