I'm looking to get new sights for my RIA 9mm/.22 TCM conversion. (As soon as I back and forth it to them for a bad extractor.) It has dovetail cuts, but when i search the web sites of various manufacturers, I don't see them listed as an option. Who else is compatible, or uses the same cuts, as RIA?

Talk to a Smith st RIA before you send it in for warranty. If they haven't changed policies they will install the sights for you at a very low cost. They used to have good sights there that you could use or you can ship your own. If they sold the sight to you it was still cheaper than Brownells.

I may do that, but I would still like to know which sights are compatible. If I look at the finder tools on the websites of manufacturers, they don't have an option for "any 1911 with a Novak dovetail".

Can anyone tell me if there is a common model of 1911 that uses the same cuts?

My Compact .45 hast a rear dovetail, front tenon. It took the Trijicon CA-02 sight set. It sounds like you have front and rear dovetails, though.

I would send your question to [email protected] . That's who got me the correct answer for mine.
