After lurking and reading some of the very interesting posts on THR for the past few weeks I'm finally registering and making a post...

I live around the Harrisburg area in PA, and I am in search of a SKS or similar semi- automatic rifle (something I can find for under 300) the problem is that in searching I haven't found many good gun stores or an way to find this type of gun. (I.E. I was horrified to walk into a local gun store a friend had told me about that was little more then a 12x10 box) when I go back to school on the eleventh I'll be continuing my search in the Scranton area...

Basically, my question is- any stores that can be recommended in a 3 hour radius of Harrisburg PA, and secondly, any other guns I should be keeping my eye out for besides a SKS?

    Thanks.

    mshootnit,

I've come to the painful realization that I have no idea how to use gun broker... your search just in PA turned up more SKS's then I had found in several days of trying to search it.

    Thank you...

You're around Harrisburg, so that leaves at least Backwoods Outfitters in Columbia (http://lancaster.citysearch.com/profile/8786007/columbia_pa/backwoods_outfitters.html), Trops in Elizabethtown (http://www.tropgunshop.com/), Shydas in Lebanon (http://www.shydasgunshop.com/), Taylors Trading Post down in Ardntsville (http://taylorstradingpost.com/) among others.

Or, there's always the huge Harrisburg (and York) gun shows, one or the other of which is running about every two months. LOTS of deals at the shows from what I hear, now that folks have stopped buying so much.
