What is the rifle that Amon Goeth uses to shoot prisoners from his balcony in the movie?

This is the only picture I could find from the movie. If I can find a bigger better picture I will post it.

Sure doesn't look like a '98. Believe it is a modern shooter because of the see-thru mounts and shorter barrel. Good eyes, never paid it any attention, wc

yeah I was just wondering because it looks nothing like what he really used. I could of swore last time I saw the movie that there were two triggers also. But maybe my eyes were just playing tricks on me.

Here is a clip I found on Youtube that is the scene from the movie. From about 0:55 to 1:12 shows the gun good. At 1:06/07 is where it looks like it has two triggers. Maybe its just the light reflecting weird off the trigger guard but it looks like a twin trigger setup from a double barrel shotgun to me.

If you wish to assume that it is period correct and not just something the prop department had on hand or kluged up to look reasonable...

It has a split bridge with forward bolt handle and therefore is not a Mauser. It looks like a Haenel Sporter, which is pretty much an 1888 action but with flush bottom magazine. It is very plain compared to ones I have seen and may be a 1909 Grade I or maybe Grade II to have double set triggers.

The scope is a typical European type with elevation adjustment only and the front mount at the objective bell. The "look under bracket" approach is common on European sporting rifles.
