I have a Marlin 900 series bolt action (982VS) stainless steel heavy barrel in .22WMR.
Suddenly the bolt is hard to move for and aft. Seems to be draging on the reciever. The drag is worse when pulling the bolt open.
I bought this rifle new and the action ran smooth for at least 3000 rounds.
It feels & looks like something is pushing the bolt to one side causing bind with the reciever. The only thing I see that is putting pressure on the bolt is the wire type ejector but it has always been there.
Anyone here experience this type of problem with this platform or any rimfire?
For the first time I have an opprortunity to hunt small varmint in far eastern Tennessee and I want to compliment my AR with the Marlin WMR.
