I now own a CZ 452 Lux. Already dropped in a ghost ring and want to finish the rigging with a decent sling that can be used as a shooting as well as carry aid. Are good military-type slings made in an undersized version for rimfires? The swivels are an inch and wouldn't accept say a Turner sling as is. I'll fit wider swivels if that makes more sense, but I don't want to overwhelm what seems like a nicely balanced rifle. Ideas?

I've seen a 1" version of the 1907 sling (used on 1903 springfields and garands), also called the National Match sling.

I can't tell you who makes it, but there's one out there. I have one on my Ruger M77/22 and it's perfect, but I picked it up in a used bin at a flea market.

I've seen them in a gun store a time or two but I can't recall the maker offhand.

Thanks, fellas. Got a Ching on the 550, so I can try it for feel. Steve, the web sounds okay. Can they be found new/repro? swingset, maybe you saw what frodo recommended. I'm leaning toward leather, now that it can be got, but I'd like to try the web too just to see how it feels. Truth be told, I already have the standard from Turner's, so guess I'll have to start looking for a new rifle to marry it off to. ;)

Regards. Ed

The older the better, assuming its not rotted or rusty. Shouldnt' cost more than $10, most often they are under $5. Good way to carry a rifle and an EXCELLENT shooting sling.
