Road Rage guy pulls gun, what do you think?

It appears he started the physical assault and ended up getting owned. It's hard to say but it appeared to be over once he was thrown to the ground. If in fact is was over, the handgun was over the top.

What's to "think"?

He started the altercation instead of keeping cool. Strike one.

He escalated the conflict and punched the driver of the vehicle. Strike two.

Once he started getting his butt kicked his wife came to his aid fearing for his safety. Foul, possibly. Since she got the gun and she was using it to break up the fight the DA might not charge her.

He then took the gun after they fled and again went after them and, reportedly, fired the gun into the pickup truck. Strike three.

He is out on $37,000 bond after turning himself in. His wife is out on $1,000 bond.

If he avoids jail I'd be surprised, but the guys in the truck may work out a deal to get their truck fixed and the jerk in counseling and probation that keeps this piece of trash out of prison.

People like this are the antithesis of responsible gun owners.

He's an idiot.

If he had shot someone he would most likely be in a world of trouble, since he initiated contact.

He was an idiot and should be arrested as such. NOT a responsible gun owner.

He then took the gun after they fled and again went after them.....

No matter who started, if the other party cries uncle and quits the field, you do not arm up and pursue. If the threat leaves, you do not follow. Plus wasn't he the initial aggressor? Double bad.

We don't know they were responsible gun owners to begin with? Do we know they have carry permits?

We can see by the video that he's not a responsible gun owner, whether a permit was held by anyone or not.

This guy is going to most likely have time to reflect on his stupidity behind bars and he'll be a felon with no rights.

I still laughed at the kids though, almost looked like a slap fight until he threw the guy into the car door. Even when people cut you off and you're mad you don't walk up to their car door and punch them. Half the time I just say whatever and keep driving rather than get all crazy punching and pulling guns.

you CANNOT start a confrontation (he walks up to the truck, throws a punch at the driver) - then get owned by the people you just started to attack and then pull a gun. Doesn't work that way.

The only person who could have legally pulled a gun would have been the driver of the truck. NOT the person attacking/confronting the driver of the truck.

He wasn't justified in assaulting the other guy....he was certainly not justified in taking the gun and walking up waving it around. Once the guys backed off, he should have told his wife to put the gun away.

I hesitate to say he got what he deserved in the beating....but I will say he will get what he deserves in court.

You've got assault, and you've got brandishing.

He followed them a long way to a HOME! And then after the video came back and fired shots at the truck.

I'm sorry but he didn't get what he REALLY deserves. If you roll up to my home and you and your wife pull and fire weapons......it'll most likely end poorly for you and your armorer.

Yeah haha Tinpig same video unless they decided to reenact it just for fun! Didn't realize it. And yeah the "varying opinions" I saw was mainly because he got double teamed and they were holding him to hit him and such, so some people thought it was justified to end it, but I say as most of you have he was the aggressor and the fight at the time was already over so no need to do that at that point. Take the beating and walk away you already lost your pride out of stupidity so no need for further action.
