Good Luck with yours. We had ours last Saturday night and had an outstanding turnout. Packed hall, 430 guests. Next year we will be moving to a larger place.

With all the work leading up to it and the 9:00 am to 11:30 pm day we committee members put in Saturday, I think we deserve to pat ourselves on the back.

Last year, we raised over $21,000. This year we should have done even better.

Outside of the Boroughs of New York City we are the state's smallest county. We are hoping for 130 to 150 to attend. Last year we did somewhere near 13,000 dollars. We are hoping to do better this year. 430 is stratospheric! Heck we'd give anything for 175 to 200.

I don't know how we do it. Pueblo has a population of about 120,000, we turn away people and still get 430.

We had a rep from Denver helping us with legal issues this year. She was absolutely flabbergasted. Denver is lucky to get 250 guests, with a population probably topping two million.

Of course this is an old-fashioned town. I've had little blue-haired ladies ask me how my weekend was, and when I responded that I was shooting IPSC and explained what it was, they will respond with "Well, that sounds like fun!".

Well, it went pretty well all things considered.

We had 162 paid attendees. We raised somewhere in the area of 21,000 dollars gross. I don't know what the total will be after we pay for everything.

A buddy of mine won the Kimber. First time he has won anything. He was happier than a pig in slop. I picked up a Benelli during the live auctions.

An arrow autograped by the Motor City Madman (Ted Nugent) went for 130 dollars at auction.

Rich from the NRA was fantastic. Stan and Mark and the rest of the committee did a fantastic job!

I had a great time with friends and made a few more. Now we have the follow up meeting and start planning for next year. My hope is to eventually get to 200 attendees.

Thank you folks on this board for your interest and patience! ;)
