Ross E. Beard Jr. Collection

Today I had the privilege of viewing the extensive gun collection of Ross E. Beard Jr. at the Camden Archives and Museum in Camden SC. There are guns from a 1500's Chinese matchlock to guns of the Vietnam era. The City of Camden owns the collection and it is on permanent display at the museum.

Nice! My son is stationed in Savannah. Next time I visit him we might just take our bikes up to check out the museum.

There is a lot of history in and around Camden. Mostly Revolutionary War Era but some Civil War Era also. If you get the chance to visit and spend more than one day, there is a lot of information on the area's historical sites at the museum.
