Anyone have any experience with one of these? Im thinking about buying one for a pack gun. It would be good for small game and worse case scenario a slug in the 410 would suffice. I like that it can break down really easy and will be very compact. Also fairly acurate and reliable. Please dont recomend the Henry survival rifles, ive heard of too many reliability issues. Thanks.

I have one which I bought about 3 years ago as my first gun. The .22 accuracy is satisfactory. I paid either $130 or $160 for mine... can't remember. The are a couple draw backs to the gun though. For one, the stock has like a 10" lop. I am sure it's more but it feels like that. Everytime I shoot it I get whacked in the nose by my hand. Another drawback to this gun (chambered for .410) is the price of ammo. It is about $12-14 for 25 .410 shells. The last drawback of this firearm, that I can think of, is: because it is so light, it recoils nearly as much as my 12 gauge. Honestly not kidding. The 12gauge I have is a Rem 870, 18" bbl, and weighs about 8-9lbs. The Rossi weighs like 2.5-3 I think. Other than that it is pretty fun to shoot actually.

My main focus would be the .22 barrel. Although the 410 is a nice option. I was hoping the accuracy was a little better but I might just see for myself. Thanks.

no probs, but you really need to expirement on how tight or loose to adjust the front takedown screw. mine liked to be so loose , that it actually spun freely if I hit it. Then it would be accurate.

+1 on the 410 recoil. It will stomp the crap out of you. .22 accuracy was pretty good with cheap bulk ammo. The recoil and expense of feeding it caused me to sell'er off. Customer service with the Rossi's (my boys each have a 22/20 combo)will keep me from owning another. I should have bought them an NEF/H&R, maybe you should too.

I agree with the others about the .410 recoil. I like a dummy loaded a shell in the gun for my kid and let him shoot it. It left a pretty good red mark on his arm. I couldn't even get him to shoot the .22 bbl for awhile as he was scared of it.
