Ruger 10/22 'stainless' - question on receiver finish

My last 10/22 'blued' got messed up, the black paint on the receiver was ruined by one or more

gun cleaning solutions. I'm in the market for a SS takedown, and wondered how the receiver is

finished, is it silver paint or powdercoat? is it clear anodized?

Seriously their are folks their that are so into all things 10/22 it is frightening.

mine(08) is powdercoat silver paint... but before the "improved" lower. What eats paint may eat your trigger group.

Except for the couple years they used a wrinkle finish powdercoat, they're all clear anodized.

I assumed it was some sort of clear coat. I've got some oxidation going on with my stainless 10/22 aluminum receiver and it almost looks like the coating is peeling in places.
