I saw 3 of these on Gunbroker and didn't know Ruger was making them again. So I checked the Ruger webpage and they didn't list them. Are these a dealer exclusive? I really want one but the weight of 39oz and the fact I can't afford one right now is stopping me. Plus I have 4 other 32 mags and 4 32 longs. I thought some might be interested since we have the other thread on 32 mags for SD.

About 6 years ago the Cabelas near me had one of the Bisley 32 mags with the drift adjustable rear sight for $289 in the case. I thought about it and called the next day to tell them to hold it for me and it had already sold. That was my worst you snooze you loose mistake of all time. The 32s are some of the most fun rounds to shoot for me.

I am thinking about what I could sell so I can buy one of these. They will only go up in value.

I had one of the first of these, a long time ago, with a 6 inch barrel. It was a perfectly good gun (although not noticeably more accurate than other 32 revolvers I had*) and built like a bank vault. I got tired of it and sold it because it was heavier than I liked for the caliber, and just too slow to load and unload for me. It seemed to me that in 32, you had to have the chamber lined up perfectly with the loading gate to get the empty case out.

I guess I just don't like SAA style loading and unloading. Every try a Rast & Gasser 8mm? It's also gate loaded and rod ejector, but so much slicker. And IIRC, you can shoot 32 Long in them too!

* I should say that I couldn't shoot it more accurately. I've never been real happy with 6 inch barrels.

A month or three ago Ruger snuck out brand new Single Six .22LR Bisleys in stainless and blue. They were never on the Ruger website and they sold quickly once discovered.

The reasons I didn't buy one at the time is much the same as yours, Ratshooter. Weight and money. Plus I knew I'd have to add a red dot or something to a gun that wouldn't look good with an optic on it. Sometimes we just have to pass up the surprising "rare" deal.

chicharrones I just paid my 2017 property taxes of just over $4500 so right now a new gun is not in the cards for me unless I sell something else. And I like everything I own so don't really want to sell any of my guns. I have around 70-80 guns now so its not like I don't have anything to shoot. But Ruger comes out with some neat stuff and then its gone. Buy now or cry later.

They are a Lipsey exclusive, check with your LGS and see if they can order one for you. My LGS knows I'm a 32HR/327 Federal fan, they ordered one in knowing I would probably buy, they were right. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so it can get broken in.

I think that gun, as a six shooter, would stand a chance of being approved for SASS but would be favored by shooters, mostly youngsters and ladies, in a shorter barrel (4 5/8).
