Ruger GP-100 Opinions Wanted

I own a 6" GP100 and I like it alot. I also own a 4" 686 and I like that too, but you will not go wrong with a Ruger. Ruger makes a good solid revolver. As a sidenote I prefer the factory grips. I put on Houges, but after a few shooting sessions I put the factory grips back on. I found they absorbed the recoil better and they were easier to handle.

Just picked up a 3" Ruger GP100 with a leather holster for $280 OTD. I have not gotten a chance to shoot it yet but it locks up tight and looks great. One small scratch on the SS finish but that is it. The Gun feels great i nhe hand. I love it. I report back after I shoot it this weekend.

rellascout.... you can easily fix the finish flaws on your GP.

I found a number of tiny rust specks on my brand new stainless GP-100, so I refinished it with ScotchBITE pads and Flitz... came out better than new. Since then I've refinished a number of used S&W stainless guns... easy to do and the results are as nice as a brand new gun.

Here's my GP after I refinished it...

Here's one of my Smiths after I refinished it from being a tired, scuffed and scratched carry piece.

Great revolver

The GP-100 is a solid, accurate revolver. I have a 4" stainless with adjustable sights, and aside from being a challenge to conceal in hot weather, you can't go wrong with a GP-100. An excellent general-purpose revolver. It was my first revolver, and I love it!
